For papermaking wastewater that has already met discharge standards through anaerobic/aerobic biological treatment, membrane technology is recommended to achieve water recycling. Trails involving advanced membrane treatment based on existing papermaking wastewater treatment systems have shown that the reuse rate of discharged water can exceed 70%. The recycling of wastewater offers a sustainable development path for the papermaking industry.
